Something Blue is a wedding-planning app for a couple and the people helping them. This page says what the app collects, where it goes, and how to get it deleted, in plain terms.
What we collect
- Your account. Your email address and the name you give us, or the name and email your Google or Apple sign-in provides. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication; we never see them.
- Your wedding plan. Everything you and your members put in: events, vendors and their contact details, saved links, key dates, task lists and who is on them, notes, people (names, relation, lodging), posts and reactions on the Wall, and your look settings (a colour and a font). Photos and files you attach are stored under your couple's private folder.
- Olive conversations. What you type to Olive, the planning assistant, and her replies.
- Invite links. A random token and the label you give it, so the person you send it to can join.
- Usage counters for Olive. How many messages and roughly how many words Olive has handled for your couple and for your account, so nobody can run up an unbounded bill.
What we do not collect
- No advertising identifiers, no ad networks, no cross-app tracking.
- No analytics SDK in the app. Crash reports go to Sentry, named below.
- No location, contacts, calendar or microphone access. "Add to calendar" hands an event to your own calendar app; the app never reads your calendar.
- No sale of personal data, to anyone, ever.
Where it goes (the third parties)
- Google Firebase (Google LLC, United States): authentication, the database that holds your plan, file storage for photos and attachments, and the server functions below. Data lives in Google's US data centres.
- Anthropic (United States): when you talk to Olive, your message and a short summary of your plan (your names, wedding date and stage, event titles, list names and open task titles) are sent to Anthropic's API to generate the reply. Anthropic's API does not train on this data. Nothing is sent unless you open Olive and send a message.
- Link previews. When you save a link, one of our server functions fetches that page once to pull its title and image. The site you saved sees a request from Google's network, not from your device.
- Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., United States): when the app crashes or hits an error, a report of what went wrong (the error, the screen, your device type and app version) goes to Sentry so we can fix it. Sentry is set not to attach personal details such as your email or IP address.
- Google Play, Apple and RevenueCat, only if a paid Something Blue Plus subscription is offered in your version of the app. The store processes payment; RevenueCat (United States) records that your account holds the subscription. We never receive your card details.
Who can see your plan
Everyone you invite to your wedding sees and can edit everything in it: that is the point of the app. Invite links work once and expire after seven days. Nobody outside your couple's members can read your data; the database rules enforce this on every request.
On your device
The app keeps a local copy of your plan so it works offline and syncs when you are back online, and remembers small things like an invite link you opened before signing up. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling removes this copy.
Deleting your account and data
In the app: Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. That removes you from your wedding and deletes your sign-in. If you were the last member, the wedding's data and its photos are purged by a server job that runs when the account is deleted. Details and the email route are on the Delete your account page.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion at any time: legal@frameworkstudio.dev. We answer within 30 days. California and EU/UK residents have the rights their laws give them; we honour them for everyone.
Children
Something Blue is for adults planning a wedding. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
When the app's data handling changes, this page is updated and the effective date above moves. Material changes are announced in the app.
